Wordfull Wednesday – Why I Am a Mac User
I know today is supposed to be “Wordless Wednesday” but today I need to use my words, so I’m doing a “Wordfull Wednesday”… Especially since the pictures have words in them…
I REALLY hate it when I am in the middle of a big project at work and am “coding away” (writing computer programs) and this flipping happens!
I HATE the BSOD (blue screen of death)..
Oh yeah… then I get this! “Windows failed to start”…
…and while doing the restart… I get this…
“Your computer was unable to start”… NO KIDDING! It CRASHED ITSELF! and I wasn’t even using a bunch of programs! Only Microsoft apps… DUH! That’s my problem!
Admittedly I get a very rare Mac OS “Bouncing Beach Ball of Doom” (BBBD), but the BBBD is so rare I just wait… it has never taken as long has today’s mess! At least I had time to write this blog post while the stupid thing sorts out it’s problems… 😉 it’s been 45 minutes and my computer is still showing the last screen above. I even had time to create my new “Wordfull Wednesday” sign!)
I HATE WINDOWS!!!!! How about you?
I’ve never seen that last screen…. and other than Hubs Mac… I’ve never used anything but Windows type stuff… don’t even know what it’s called… but whatever 🙂
besides, I’m doing good today, I fixed a coding thing and fixed something else that deals with html… I don’t know either one!
It took over a hour and a half for my Windows PC to get back to a usable state… I got sick of my Windows PCs crashing. Five years ago we bought a Mac for The Offspring and after a few months I saw how reliable it was so I “had to have one”. Saved my money and have been using one for 3.5 years now… won’t buy a Windows PC again!
Sounds like you’re ready to move into your company’s IT department. 😉
This post.
This day.
Thank you Steve Jobs!!
A life well lived & world wide impact!
I wrote this before I heard the news he’d died. He was a visionary and will be missed.
