More Spring Happiness
First of all, YES I AM posting two blog posts on back-to-back days. And NO Hell didn’t freeze over last night…
As I mentioned yesterday, I’m starting to come out of my funk… it’s amazing what sunshine does for my spirits. 😀
I had another surprise yesterday, but couldn’t get a picture until after I got home from The Offspring’s softball game. A couple years ago, Ma and Pa gave Hubby and me a lilac bush for our anniversary. Ma remembered me mentioning that I had a lilac bush at the house where I grew up and how I missed it and how hers gave me special memories. Our anniversary is in August so last year was the first year it was really “in the ground”. It didn’t bloom last year, but …
Look what I saw yesterday!! Lots of pretty dark purple BLOOMS! It’s going to be sooooo beautiful as it grows! (it’s only about 22 inches tall right now) 😀

We planted a bare root, fragrant, “old fashioned” lilac at the corner of our drive by the gravel road and mailbox last year. We planted a number of things, the lilac is one of the things doing well!
That deep color is gorgeous. I am happy that Ma takes such good care of you. I am also happy that you had a lilac when you were a child. Sun, spring, colors are wonderful. Lock them in your brain to think about when you need a calming moment.
I’m going to love this lilac. I miss the one from my childhood. I, too, am happy that Ma takes such good care of me. I know Mama would too if she lived as close as Ma. 😉 I can’t wait to see her when she comes for a visit next month!!!!!!
