If you recall from Remodel, Part 26: Phase 3 New Hardwood Stairs and Loft and Remodel, Part 28: New Handrail, Brent had ripped out old carpeting and installed new hardwood floors and stairs.

In addition, he made us a new handrail.

Then stain guy came in and stained the loft floor…

and the stairs…

After the stain dried, he coated everything with a top coat. Check out the “after”.

We love it! Our Christmas decorations look great hanging there, too! Before…

It’s so strange. We’ve lived in this house for 17 years. It has only been such a short time since we did the remodels and I can barely remember what it was like before. Weird!

So this brings to a close Phase 3. Phase 4 coming soon! 😉
