Monday Mingle on Tuesday, again
The Kitchen Remodel consumes my time after work, so I am falling behind… Monday Mingle is on Tuesday (late) again…
Meg over at Life of Meg hosts her Monday Mingle. This week I stopped by the following:
A Good Life – cute lifestyle blog, even cuter baby! (I love the sock monkey pictures! π )
Facing 50 with Humour – quiet enjoyable empty nester blog. Her writing is quite entertaining. π
Meg also asked us to post our favorite heathy snacks… I said baby carrots with homemade ranch dip and I love grape tomatoes.
Have you recently found any new blogs? What are your favorite βheathyβ snacks?
Hi! Firstly thank you for stopping by my blog and your kind comments. This is a very professional blog – wow – loads of interesting things to read here. I look like a complete amateur by comparison. Just become your latest stalker oops no I mean follower. π
Hi Carol, thanks for stopping by and joining in the fun. Thanks for the complement, by the way. Professional… nope. I only started blogging in late April this year and have less than 200 posts. I used to use Blogger/Blogspot and switched to a self-hosted WordPress so I could have more freedom. It’s all done with widgets and plugins.
Okay now I am very confused…remember I’m an old lady! Widgets and plugins sound like things I’d get at a hospital! π I only started in July and it took ages to work out even how to do a header but blogspot is okay for me for the moment…maybe when I become more advanced I’ll move away from it. Nice to meet you. I’m off hopefully tomorrow to militant France where they are all striking so hopefully I’ll still be able to get to a wi-fi area and blog…if they haven’t blockaded them all.
You’re not old… you’re experienced at life. Just like me. I, too, am on the upward direction toward 50. π
A widget something you put in an area on your blog. For example, on my blog the box to the right with the “Must Reads”. On your blog it would be like your visitor counter on the right.
A plugin is program, or a set of one or more functions, that add features to the blog. An example of this on my blog is the post slideshow on my home/main page.
I heard through the grapevine that CarolW is from England and I would just like to say how awesome that is π
Bring on the apples! You burn more calories eating an apple than you get from the apple itself! :). New blogs, yes, but don’t ask me what they are, there are a bunch of them. I figured out this morning that this is kind of like pen-paling except you don’t use a pen and send it to a specific person with a stamp π
Hi Nicole! π I haven’t heard that about apples… celery yes, but not apples. Cool! I LOVE Fuji and whatever kind the redish one we got in our CSA. I think Gala or Gravenstein.
