Haha yeah the confusion might be because a lot of stuff is blocked in uae so using proxys. About the celebrations yeah maybe not proper street celebrations but the rest of the world is saying pretty much the same thing.

Ah, thanks, Naz, no wonder I was so confused!! 😉 I will do another comment on your blog so you can make sure I am not marked as “spam”. 🙁 I get what you are saying about stuff being blocked in UAE. That’s too bad. I wish for you the freedom of speech without having to hide. So you *are* in the UAE, but will come up as from other places as well as your replies on your blog being from “Hijabis On Ranting Tour”. Right?
stef– such a simple but meaningful post. though i don’t pray, it’s times like these that i hope that there is something out there to make the world start moving in the right direction. i think this time, though, we might be able to rely on the people around us to be the change they wish to see in the world.
Hi Emily, I’m with you there on we as humans have to get moving in the right direction. I don’t understand why people have to be so filled with hatred. 🙁
I totally agree with you – World Peace…
Off the subject, I came across your blog (don’t know how). I am researching paint color for my new home. I love Loggia but wondered what you went with…
email me or comment back if you get a chance!!
Thanks!
Hi, Andrea! Welcome to my blog!
We went with the Loggia in the kitchen and family room, but also have two complementary colors. We put “Sticks and Stones” in the entry way, stairwell and loft (I still have to post the photos of the latter). In the dining room went with “Threshold Taupe“. It is really close to the Sticks and Stones.
Of the three brown-ish colors. I like the Sticks and Stones the best, it’s a bit darker than the Loggia but looks GREAT with our white-ish trim (don’t know the exact color because it’s a color match to existing color).
unfortunately we aren’t! Not even close :(… and the fact that all the headlines are reading that is going to rally up more hate for us and possibly more attacks. They’ll think we’re bragging and we need to be put in our place.
Like I just said to Emily, I hope that we’re headed in the right direction. I am a rational person and realistic. I know that this one event isn’t going to stop all war, but it would be nice… so I’m still praying that it will happen… you know… like the on Star Trek… there was no more war on Earth… unfortunately they had Eugenic Wars first. 🙁 {sorry I couldn’t resist bring up Star Trek} 😉
Hey steff yeah you got it completely right 😀 haha thanks a lot for your kind wishes pray for change here its slowly slowly coming hopefully your comments make me smile ive gotten and published ur other comment too
